Fire Places.
Fire Places/Surrounds are the centre piece of any room they come in any number of different sizes styles, they can be made out of wood, MDF, stone, stone effect, marble, resin and plaster and probably a few that I have not thought about and a host of different colors, and what about quality?.
Until recently one of my hobbies was making pine furniture for family and friends including fire places/surrounds using offcuts from a major timber supplier, but when they changed to ordering their timber from China these were no longer available. I love working with my hands but with no other reasonably priced timber supplier at hand I moved on to buying used fire places and furniture and refurbishing it.
I am amazed at what people discard just because the color is wrong to go with their decor or style when with a bit of work sanding down and re-staining or painting will restore perfectly good fire places and furniture. Their loss is to your gain as it makes it possible for me to offer you used selected fire places and furniture at realistic prices.
If you have been looking for a new fire place/surround I am sure that you will have been shocked at some of the prices even at outlets like the B&Q you will have to pay into the hundreds of pounds for a decent fire place/surround. This applies not only to fire places but to any furniture that you can think of.
